Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA) is the state-owned public broadcaster of Afghanistan. It began broadcasting in 1978 and relaunched in 2001. It airs general content, while RTA News and Education provide specialized programming. RTA also offers sports via RTA Sport. It broadcasts domestically via terrestrial and via TürkmenÄlem/MonacoSAT for international viewers.
